Hey, I'm Shallah Jones, a digital illustrator from Queens, New York, and I've been into art for as long as I can remember. I was that kid who could turn a cardboard box into anything—a rocket ship, a time machine, whatever. That kind of creativity never really left me, and it’s still at the heart of what I do today. I studied cartooning at The High School of Art and Design, spent some time at The School of Visual Arts (those credits weren’t cheap), and eventually got degrees in Communication Design and Computer Animation from Fashion Institute of Technology.

Over the years, I took on the name Boxlord. It’s basically a reminder for me to hold onto that sense of wonder and imagination from childhood—when a box could turn into whatever you wanted it to be. I think as we get older, we kind of forget that part of ourselves. For me, Boxlord isn’t just a name or brand, it’s more of a mindset. It’s about keeping that creative spark alive, even in the middle of all the adult stuff we deal with.

Whether I’m working on NFTs or something totally new, I always try to tap into that childhood imagination and bring it into my work. It's like my way of staying connected to that freedom we had as kids, when everything felt possible. So yeah, Boxlord is kind of my personal philosophy now—staying playful and creative no matter what I’m working on!
